Ways to volunteer

Food Hamper Packing

Sort, pack, and prepare food hampers for families across Durham Region and the GTA. Good vibes, good music, and a great team.

Distribution Days

Hand out hampers, hygiene kits, and supplies at our community events and drop-off points.

Senior Visits

Visit isolated seniors, deliver meals, and provide companionship. A small visit can make someone's whole week.

Event Setup

Help organize and run community gatherings, resource fairs, and community events. Bring the energy.

Street Outreach

Distribute hot meals, care kits, and warm clothing to those experiencing homelessness in the city.

Admin & Social Media

Help with communications, social media content, data entry, and behind-the-scenes coordination.

What to expect

We make volunteering easy. Here's what you need to know.

No experience needed

Seriously. If you can show up and care, you're qualified. We'll teach you everything else.

Flexible scheduling

Give whatever time works for you. A few hours, a full day, once a month — it all counts.

All ages welcome

16 and up can volunteer independently. Under 16? No problem — just bring a parent or guardian along.

We've got you covered

We provide training, supplies, and everything you need. Just bring yourself and a good attitude.

Volunteer FAQ

You need to be 16 or older to volunteer on your own. If you're younger than 16, you're still welcome — just come with a parent or guardian.
Nope. Just show up and we'll guide you through everything. We train all our volunteers on the spot.
Whatever works for you. Some volunteers come out once, others join us every week. One-time help and regular help are both equally appreciated.
Comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes. We sometimes work outdoors and move boxes around, so dress for the occasion.
